Privacy

Data controller: PETEE, Mael Rouault’s sole-trader business, as the Legal notice identifies it. In this policy, “PETEE”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to that merchant.

This policy covers orders from Petee’s United States shop at petee.co/us: checkout, payment, printing, delivery and customer service. Stripe processes checkout and payment; our own servers keep customer and order records and these policy pages. Petee accounts, Petee our design buddy, the photo tools (background removal, extending and enlarging photos) and how we measure the use of every Petee storefront with PostHog are described in Petee’s privacy notice, which applies here too.

PETEE runs no advertising pixel, does not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, and sends no marketing email. The only emails about an order are its parcel tracking and replies to what you write to us.

Personal Information We Collect for an Order

How We Use It

For EEA and UK users, our legal bases are performance of the sales contract for checkout, payment, delivery, support, returns and refunds; compliance with tax, accounting, product-safety and legal obligations; and legitimate interests for service security and fraud prevention.

Who Receives It

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to service providers acting for PETEE, each for its part of the order: Stripe for checkout and payment processing; HOSTINGER PTE LTD, which hosts the storefront, its operations and the support mailbox; Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) for petee.co’s domain names and the network in front of it (it sees each request in transit, including your network address and cookies, caches only public scripts, styles and pictures, and receives browsers’ reports of failed connections); Printful for printing and shipping your order (your name, shipping address, phone and email, for the delivery, and the print file of your design); Resend for emailing you each parcel’s tracking (your email address, your first name, the order number and the tracking); Runware for removing backgrounds and enlarging pictures too small to print well (the picture only, sent without any customer identity, its result kept by Runware for at most a minute); and the parcel carriers for delivery and tracking. We also disclose it to professional advisers, or to authorities when the law requires, and in a business transfer, to its new owner. These providers may process data outside your country under their own privacy notices and PETEE’s agreements with them; see the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Children's Data

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has given us personal information, contact us to have it deleted.

Security and Retention of Your Information

No security measures are perfect, and we cannot guarantee perfect security; please do not send us sensitive information by email.

An order’s delivery details (the recipient’s name, shipping address, phone and email) are deleted 2 years after the order is delivered or cancelled, having served reprints, refunds and guarantees; its order, invoice, payment, refund and accounting record is deleted at the end of the 10th year after the year in which it was placed. Support, security, and dispute records are kept only as long as needed for the request, legal claim, fraud prevention, or applicable limitation period. We delete or anonymize other information when it is no longer necessary.

Pet photos and designs that are never ordered are deleted after 30 days. Photos and designs from an order are kept for 400 days so we can reprint a damaged or misprinted item, then deleted.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it or have it sent to someone else, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising (we do neither; we also treat a Global Privacy Control signal as such an opt-out for that browser). These rights are not absolute, and we may decline a request as the law permits. Write to us using the contact details below; we may need to verify your identity, an authorized agent must show your authorization, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we process your personal information, contact us. Depending on where you live, you may appeal our decision or complain to your local data protection authority.

International Transfers

We may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country you live in. Out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK’s equivalent, unless the destination has been found to protect personal data adequately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the revised policy here, update its “Last updated” date and give notice where the law requires.

Contact

To ask a privacy question or exercise a right, email hello@petee.co or write to 118 Rue du Verger, 35260 Cancale, France. EEA residents may also complain to their competent supervisory authority; in France this is the CNIL.
